It’s about time we did a top 5 list. Here’s a list of the software that Cameron and I use on a daily basis and would die if we didn’t have it.

Matt

1. uTorrent. If I didn’t have this, my torrenting needs would be gone, done the toilet, and I wouldn’t have been able to reinstall my Creative Zen software without downloading the CD (since I lost it).
2. Mozilla Firefox. If you don’t know why a lot of people use this, you don’t deserve to be here.
3. Pidgin. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Pidgin is the best Instant Messenger ever, especially with all of the themes and plugins you can add to it.
4. SRS Audio Sandbox. This makes your audio sound a lot clearer and better. You can also tweak it to preset modes, such as Rock, Club, etc. There’s also the presets for podcastss, drama and action movies, etc. Very awesome tool, try it out.
5. Notepad++. An excellent tool to replace that crummy notepad. It comes with syntax highlighting, line numbering, etc. It really helps when you’re coding, because it highlights the brackets in red and will easily help you if you need more or less brackets.

Cameron

1. Photoshop CS2. I use this software every day,  From creating this  site design,  to designing a bands myspace page, this is about the main tool that i use for my every day web designing.
2. Adium . I’m a mac fanatic, but i use windows as well, so im not a fan boy, adium is just amazing, fully skinable, can do all the message protocols, and is not a resource hog like aim for mac, its a must download if you have a mac.
3. Transmission. The greatest program on mac for torrents! It even gives the user the option of not sharing, now utorrent or any of them, thats not a option, but on transmission it is.
4. iTunes. We all know what this is, but its my digital juke box when im at my pc, its also what keeps my iphone and itouch organized, it also has a great online radio, it can be a ram hog, but I still prefer it over foobar.
5. Anydvd + Clone Dvd 2. I don’t use this every day, but i use it alot, i get alot of movies, and friend borrow them, and they get scratches, don’t get put back in the case, and some times lost, so i started making backups of all my movies, so that i would never have to go out and buy a replacement to something i already own. Used correctly this is the easiest software to use for cloning dvds, as well as the fastest.
