MediaDefender Goes Forward with P2P Marketing

First off don’t flame me for this, i am not a fan of media venture/MediaDefender (they are the same company, they are the company tracking down people for mp3/movie downloading. I would know since i got a lawsuit from them, which i won my case so thats that)
I think this is a unique idea, I don’t think it will catch on, and if you think about it, this is already happening, if you download a bad torrent you will have fat lady’s shaking it on your screen and a auto clicker going on in the back ground( this happened to me recently). But yea its a idea that will make them money in the end, but they still wont be happy cause the riaa/mpaa still doesn’t get the internet, and im doubting they ever will. So pretty much MediaDefender wants to advertise in mp3’s and other pirated files, the way they feel is we get what we want, and they get money, lots of money, just think if everyone pirates one song, and they got ad money off that song, thats not a bad bottom dollar they will be having at the end of the year, id rather have the piracy tax here in america but that wont ever happen. Free Nine Inch Nails song to facebook users!
Free Song from Nin to Facebook users!!, This is a really cool boost for facebook, we knock facebook alot here but heres a reason to start facebook if you havent yet!
No comments“In March, the Nine Inch Nails released their album ‘Ghosts’ under a non-commercial Creative Commons license, meaning that it can be shared freely. The band confirmed that they had uploaded the album themselves to sites like The Pirate Bay, Waffles.fm and What.cd. This is of course great news for BitTorrent fans, and a move which did the Nails’ image no harm at all. Fans of the Nails will be delighted to hear that the free music vibe is going to get a fresh boost today. According to a report, a brand new track from the band entitled “Echoplex”, is now available for free download to millions of Facebook users. Trent Reznor, the frontman of Nine Inch Nails has always been pro-filesharing and admits to downloading music using BitTorrent and was a member and supporter of the shuttered OiNK tracker.” Quoted secton from www.torrentfreak.com
Warez Leader is Chairman of San Diego Republican Party
Tony Krvaric started the group, Fairlight. After leaving the group in ‘93, it basically all went downhill. In 2004, some of the members of Fairlight were arrested by the FBI.
Krvaric also said:
Apparently there’s a hit piece floating around on me, “exposing” my wild high school, teenage years where I was in a computer club where we swapped Commodore 64 games (similar to how kids swap mp3 music files these days). This was in the 80’s, on a computer that’s long since defunct!
[In] 1990 I graduated high school, grew up and started my own business, and then in 1992 I came to this country, continuing the same business (selling computer and video game chips and accessories as well as some nonperishable foodstuffs, taking over my father’s business for a while after he died in 1994) until I left that field when the profit margins became too thin to make any money – around 1997 or so. That’s when I became a financial consultant, which I remain to this day.
I’m sure glad they didn’t look in to my elementary school years, as there’s some really embarrassing stuff that I did in 4th grade. BTW, I also heard a rumor that another fellow committee member (who shall remain unnamed) once made a tape copy of his friend’s favorite vinyl record.
I don’t know who is spreading this but just wanted to let you know what’s going on out there. Likely it’s someone who wants us to take our eye off the ball in 2008, be it the democrats, labor or someone else. Either way, we’re not going to let them get away with it. Thanks for your leadership.

No commentsuTorrent Marked as Trojan by Avast Antivirus

This is what a lot of people saw one day when they opened uTorrent.
As all of you should know, uTorrent does NOT have any trojans, viruses etc. If it did, I wouldn’t recommend this fine program.
This problem was fixed by Avast, however, within five hours.
Related to this, there was an exploit in the WebUI system of uTorrent which would allow people to break in and randomly download things onto somebody else’s computer.
Think about it: coming home from a long day at the office to find someone has downloaded a lot of gay porn on your computer. I bet the wife isn’t happy about that!

No commentsDigiJuke is a Media Pirate’s Best Friend

What is DigiJuke? It’s what the titles says it is: Your Best Friend! Yay!
What does it do? Well, it can download videos (movies, music videos, etc) and converts them into something that can go on your 360, PSP and other household goodies.
However, I don’t think it’ll be quite your best friend yet. I think it could only be your best friend if it can remotely download content from any source and convert it to anything else. It would also be good to throw in something like a DVD burner.
But that’s just me. It would, however, be a good friend of mine for the time being.

No commentsCaution : Hdmi2.com is a Scam!
“Hey cam,
you tell me how to install ushc or hdmi so i can wach *BLEEP*, i keep getting this black screen that says go to hdmi2.com to download the latest driver to play the movie …
thanks”
Ight, I didn’t download this, but from what I’ve seen from their site, and what the rest of the email said, I have to say this is about the hugest scam I’ve ever seen. The sad part is apparently, some of you are falling for it; there is no download to make the movie magically play.
What you’re downloading is a 2 hour movie that has a black background, no audio, and it says go to hdmi2.com. When you get to the site the first thing you see is, “You help us and we help you.” Honestly, does this sound like a legit source? No, so bottom line, they are editing the movies in torrents, and asking for you personal info and credit cards.
You all can fool around and look for these drivers or delete, give up, and wait for it to come out like everyone else. (Honestly why would you have even tried downloading this movie, its not even in theaters yet not till the second.)
No commentsThe Pirate Bay Smashes 12,000,000 BitTorrent Users

TPB has announced that today, they have reached the amazing, awesome, speechless 12 million peer mark.
Brokep said that regular peers were getting less common as seeders soared among them:
In 2008, the seeders amount to an impressive 50% of total tracker peers, further indication if it was needed that the desire to share clearly trumps the efforts of anti-piracy agencies.
He also wants to have every one of those 12 million invite a friend so that way, they could easily break 15 million, and probably 20 million.
It sure does look that way, and I can’t wait for there to be 24 MILLION people downloading (and seeding!) at the bay.
