Resident Evil 5: The Gore will be Intense
![]()
Capcom has stated that RE5 will not cut down on gore, just for age certification. They’re going all out on it.
No comments“We’re never going to create a gore-free Resident Evil title to try and get a lower rating as it’s a game about the horror experience and gore is part of that.” -Rhys Cash, Capcom UK’s research and planning manager.
“There’s no reason why an appropriate adult title should be seen as something to be shied away from. What I do see publishers moving away from is titles whose only raison d’être is ‘adult themes’ and only goal is to shock.”
DirectX 11Details
Microsoft announced at GameFest some DirectX 11 details. It offers support for 10/10.1 DirectX cards as well as DirectX 11 cards.
No commentsHow about a “new compute shader technology” that gets your GPU ready to do more than just boring old 3D graphics – instead “developers can take advantage of the graphics card as a parallel processor”? Not doing it for you? How about “multi-threaded resource handling that will allow games to better take advantage of multi-core machines” since, y’know, most every computer nowadays has multiple cores? Or “support for tessellation” which allows “developers to refine models to be smoother and more attractive when seen up close”? Something in there has to tickle your fancy.

No commentsE3: Half Life 2 Episode 3?

Woah, that was quick. Didn’t Episode 2 come out last year? And Episode 3 is already showing it’s awesome face at E3? Then again, that doesn’t mean it’ll be released anytime soon. However, it’ll be nice to have a peek at what Valve is cooking up.
For PC and Xbox 360 eh? No PS3 I see. Oh well, hopefully it’ll come to it after it’s released.

No commentsNo More Bioshock DRM!

2K has officially stripped Bioshock (for the PC) of the frustrating DRM known as SecuROM. Now gamers, you can play Bioshock whenever you feel the need to, and not have to worry about it!
2K says this from their forums:
“Good news! As promised, all activation restrictions, including install limits, have been removed from BioShock PC as of today. You don’t have to patch or install anything for this to go into effect for your copy of BioShock – it’s already done!
Enjoy your time in Rapture, and thank you for supporting BioShock and the 2K teams.”
So, who wants to go kill some mutants?

1 commentGuitar Hero World tour!! Price and date released!!

I don’t know how this is truly gonna go over, but if they give us a massive song list, and new features theres no reason why it shouldn’t sell like all the other guitar heroes before it, I am skeptical about the drum set, but we will see how that all turns out, all i ask from red octane is to put some more indie on there, bloc party, the spill canvas, radio head, and maybe some christian rock and metal, i would love to see underoath one one guitar hero thats all im asking for, but yea heres the dates and pricing, quoted from engadget…
No comments“Now that we’ve been enticed with what Guitar Hero World Tour will look like, GameStop has revealed the upcoming rock simulator’s price and release date. $189.99 will get you the Guitar Hero World Tour “Band Kit” with drum kit, guitar, and microphone. Meanwhile, the “Guitar Kit” at $99.99 will come with just the guitar controller. For those of you who want to use your current controller (assuming current controllers will work), the game-only version will run $59.99 (or $49.99 for the PS2 and Wii). The game’s ship date, as of now, is set at 10/27/08. Quoted from Engadget.com“
