Myspace Apps are IN!
Please say it ain’t so Lord.
I have the (rather unfortunate) pleasure of telling you all that Myspace now has app(lication)s. Basically, a huge rip off of Facebook if you ask me. There are currently a lot of categories listed under apps you can get. There’s football stuff, tech stuff etc. Over 41 pages of the stuff. Some of them are huge rips like the AudioScrobbler from Last.FM does exactly the same thing it does on Facebook.
Among these other apps are things like “Rate My Music”, “Rate My Pic”, “What would you want to do with me?” etc. Quite frankly, most of these apps are beyond stupid and just completely pointless. The AudioScrobbler one may be useful to some, but not to many others. The “Rate My…” apps are, in my opinion, lame. Go to Facebook if you want that.
If apps are your thing, then this must be heaven to you. If you’re like me, then it’s a living hell. I think it may become a living hell because Facebook apps have this nasty tendency to e-mail me every single time somebody invites me to do an app with them, such as becoming a vampire etc. You’ve all heard it in the podcasts. If I get invites and I can’t turn it off, I may just leave Myspace too. Please don’t let that happen Myspace!
